My name is Traci Ketchum and I was born and raised in Coos Bay, Oregon and presently reside in the Portland metro area. Some might say that I am a little obsessed with the Cascadia Subduction Zone after years of reading about the topic. I was bored one night about 8 years ago in an attempt to learn more about my family and my hometown of Coos Bay… instead I discovered this potential catastrophe that’s laying in wait off of our beautiful coastline. Join my journey as I try to prepare my family for this potential disaster.

This page is dedicated to the people of the Northwest, hoping that they take a moment and prepare their family for possibly the worst natural disaster to impact our country. I am by no means an expert in geology – instead I am a worried mom who is attempting to learn all there is to know about this fault line and how I can protect my family when the big one finally hits.
